Should people apply separately or together to increase their chances in the lottery?Our goal is a lottery system that doesn’t lend itself to gaming the system. A “registration group” will all have the same lottery result. If you want your lottery outcomes to be guaranteed to be the same, register together. Generally, we're looking to have families or partners all register in one group.Can extended family members of returning children (18 & under) apply and get in with that family group?Our current policy is to have only two parent/guardians apply in each registration group that includes children (18 & under). Do off-campus participants have the same health requirements as on-campus, or is anything added?We ask that off-campus participants do not go anywhere unnecessary during the week and wear a mask in large public places (e.g. hotel lobby, grocery store). Will the waiting list be randomly ordered from everybody who applies during the two week period?Yes, the waiting list will be a continuation of the same lottery process. Anyone who applies after August 30th will be added to the waiting list (behind people who were not offered a spot but were in the lottery).Does it matter what day/time I apply?
No, as long as you apply before 11:59pm Eastern Time on August 30th.
Can I come (and pay) for just a few days?
No. We cannot accommodate partial registrations, including for New Year's Eve.
I live nearby. Can I commute from home?
Yes! Due to more limited housing options this year, we will be accepting commuting attendees.
