A Lloyd Shaw Scholarship is an opportunity to positively affect camp using your skills and talents in a leadership role. There are several different scholarships to choose from. Read our scholarship information page to understand the options, requirements, and opportunities in further detail.
Scholarship applications are part of the registration process, so when you register, be ready to answer the following questions:
Which LSF scholarship (or scholarships) are you interested in?
What skills or talents do you have that could be shared at Terpsichore’s Holiday?
How can you support the Lloyd Shaw Foundation’s goal of promoting folk dancing and music in your local community?
Work scholarships are recurring jobs that may be a little more involved or specialized than volunteer jobs. Each position requires a certain amount of time per day. These include class helper/musician, evening snack setup, and evening child monitoring.
We want to make sure that everyone who wants to attend camp can come. We offer need-based financial support up to the full cost of camp. When you register, we will tell you what your total cost would be without financial aid, and then will ask what of that total you will be able to pay. We really appreciate your honesty here, as that helps us better serve the needs of our community!
If you receive financial aid, we may ask you to volunteer for a camp job, which helps to ensure a smooth and successful camp for everyone. You can select your preferences for a job during registration.
Lloyd Shaw Scholarships, work scholarships, and financial aid applications are part of the registration process.
You may apply for both a Lloyd Shaw Scholarship and a work scholarship. You may also apply to neither, and just ask for financial aid. If the amount of financial aid asked for exceeds what a scholarship can pay, we will attempt to make up the difference for you.
2026 deadlines:
If you are planning on applying for any scholarships or financial aid, please ensure you register during the open registration window (August 17-30th). Applications after this time may not be able to be honored.
